The action research findings on the issue of transition were turned into a poster.
Inclusive transition is an important issue that had not been addressed effectively in the 80 original submissions to the Committee for the UNCRPD during their Article 24 General Comment consultation. By carrying out participatory research with teachers, parents and children, the partners we worked with in Armenia and Moldova learned more about the barriers to inclusion that learners face during periods of educational transition, and how to address them.
Bridge of Hope in Armenia used the research findings to develop a proposal and secure funding for a project that focuses on making the transition from kindergarten to primary education more inclusive and supportive.
The action research findings on transition in Armenia and Moldova were turned into a poster, providing guidance that is relevant for many more countries.
